Job summary

Met Office is seeking an Environmental Advisor to manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) and oversee ISO14001 compliance. You will monitor environmental performance, provide specialist guidance, and coordinate governance forums with facilities management.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ISO14001 and EMS management
• Experience in internal and external auditing (ISO14001)
• Strong written communication for senior management
• Analytical ability to analyse environmental data and trends

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage our Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensure ISO14001 compliance
• Lead transitions from ISO14001:2015 to ISO14001:2026
• Monitor environmental performance and report progress to leadership
• Coordinate Biodiversity and Environmental Governance forums and audits
• Support external audits and maintain Biodiversity Benchmark
