Job summary

Hft is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life on their own terms, with dignity and choice. You will help individuals participate in daily activities, manage health needs, and build skills within a warm, inclusive team.

You will work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts as part of a compassionate, person-centered approach that values wellbeing, safeguarding, and clear record-keeping. A supportive environment with growth opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Patience, supportiveness, and respect for people’s choices are essential.
• Strong communication helps build trusting relationships with people we support.
• Willingness to learn and pursue a Health and Social Care qualification.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts.

• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work, and community activities.
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing while respecting people’s decisions.
• Support people to attend health appointments and manage medication confidently.

• Stand alongside people to manage daily life with confidence, including personal care when needed.
• Keep accurate records and follow safeguarding practices to ensure everyone is safe and supported.
