Job summary

Teaching Personnel is hiring a Full-Time Teaching Assistant in Dorchester, Dorset. You will support pupils to develop academically, socially, and personally, working closely with teachers to maintain engagement and readiness to learn throughout the school day.

The role suits experienced TAs or those with transferable experience seeking entry into education. The successful candidate will contribute to safeguarding and ongoing professional development opportunities within a supportive school

• Support pupils during lessons and independent learning activities
• Work with individual pupils who require additional guidance

• Support reading, writing, mathematics and other curriculum areas
• Encourage pupils to participate actively in lessons
• Help pupils develop confidence and independence
• Support pupils who experience barriers to learning
• Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Assist with classroom preparation and resources
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff
• Share observations with the teaching team
