Job summary

Tonge Moor Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to provide targeted support for learning, attendance, and safeguarding. You will work closely with teachers to ensure all pupils can access learning in a safe and inclusive environment, supporting emotional and social development aligned with school values.

The role is term-time with additional days; salary is £12.76 per hour with options for SEND and EAL support, and you will promote positive relationships and personal independence

Responsibilities

• Support individual pupils and small groups during learning activities.
• Lead small group learning activities e.g. interventions, phonics sessions, SEND interventions.
• Help pupils understand instructions and stay engaged in lessons.
• Promote inclusion and a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Support pupils with SEND and EAL and adapt strategies to meet learning needs.
