Job summary

Lift Rawlett is a caring, inclusive secondary school in Tamworth seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with their learning and confidence. You will work closely with teachers to access the curriculum and provide targeted interventions, including SEND support.

You will join a committed team, promote positive behaviour, and help create a safe, stimulating environment for all students while developing their independence and self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Support students in accessing lesson content and achieving learning objectives.
• Help students develop independent learning skills and confidence.
• Work with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality learning.
• Deliver individual and small-group interventions under direction of staff.
• Support students with SEND and adapt support to meet individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and align with school policies.
• Support students' social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing.
• Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral colleagues, SENDCO and parents/carers.
• Create a stimulating, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Prepare resources to meet diverse student needs.
• Support students on trips and other activities as required.
