Job summary

Randstad recruitment is seeking Teaching Assistants for schools in Wrexham to support pupils in 1:1 or small groups and help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. You will assist with ALN, work with teachers and staff, and help run lunch/break activities to ensure a positive school day.

Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred; an Enhanced DBS check and EWC registration (or willingness to apply) are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is essential.
• Experience in an education setting or youth-support role preferred.
• Enhanced DBS check and EWC Registration or willingness to apply.
• A Level 2/3 Childcare qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or in small groups to boost pupil confidence and progress.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with ALN and implement creative strategies.
• Partner with class teachers and professionals to review progress and plan activities.
• Assist with lunch/break duties to ensure a safe, engaging school day.
• Report pupil wellbeing concerns to the SENCo.
