Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed and resilient 1:1 ALN Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and classroom-based support within a specialist school in Cardiff, working with pupils aged 3-19.
This is a highly hands-on SEN role, ideal for individuals who are calm under pressure, adaptable, and confident supporting children and young people across all key stages. No two days are the same - you may work across different classrooms, age groups, and needs throughout the week, tailoring your approach to ensure every pupil receives the right support at the right time.
To thrive in this 1:1 ALN Support Assistant position, you'll need a positive, persistent mindset and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations. Building trusting relationships, using effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies, and creating a safe, supportive learning environment are central to this role.
