Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd in Dursley is hiring a Support Worker to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role includes daily living support, promoting independence and facilitating community access.

The position is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. A DBS check is required and care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 QCF (Social Care Wales registration)
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
