Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in our Community Support and Housing services in Scotland. You will help people pursue independence, participate in community activities, and access education, work and leisure opportunities while promoting wellbeing and inclusion.

You do not need prior care experience; we provide a full induction, ongoing training, and development opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to enjoy community activities and hobbies
• Encourage independence and build everyday life skills
• Accompany people to appointments, education, work and leisure activities
• Support health, wellbeing and social inclusion
• Assist with personal care where required
• Maintain accurate digital records
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and families
• Promote dignity, respect and person centred support
• Support individuals with daily living tasks and personal care
• Encourage independence and help develop practical life skills
• Support people to access work, education, hobbies and community activities
• Assist with medication following training and procedures
• Help maintain safe, welcoming homes
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families and professionals
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to person centred support plans
• Promote dignity and inclusion in everything you do
