Job summary

Blaydon Lodge, a 24 hour service run by Gateshead Council, seeks a dedicated Support Worker to aid adults with learning disabilities, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions. You will work across shifts, provide person-centered care, and support daily living activities with compassion, respect, and safety.

Responsibilities include medication administration, detailed daily records, and occasional minibus outings. A full UK driving licence and a proactive, flexible approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and willingness to progress.
• Certificates in Health & Safety, Infection Prevention, Fire Safety, First Aid and Food Safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities and autism.
• Support with daily living activities, privacy, dignity and choice.
• Provide overnight sleep-in support and participate in outings driving the minibus.
• Maintain accurate daily records and assist with medication administration.
