Job summary

Turning Point Scotland is seeking a Support Practitioner in Dumfries & Lockerbie to provide individualised support to adults with a range of needs and engage them in hobbies and interests to build skills and independence.

The role involves a rota, with opportunities for full-time, part-time or relief hours. A sleepover shift earns an extra £107.60 per shift. Salary is £25,879–£26,843 (pro rata) with a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• You will provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
• You will be supported by an approachable management team, allowing you to expand on your existing knowledge whilst developing new skills.

Responsibilities

• Helping to provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
• Supporting individuals within the community and engaging with their hobbies and interests & empowering individuals to develop skills and independence, promoting their overall growth.
• Attending various community groups and accompanying our service users to attend activities they are passionate about, from cinema trips to holidays.
• Assist with personal care, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
• Celebrate achievements and milestones to create a rewarding and positive environment.
