Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in school/SEN settings.
• Experience with speech and language needs.
• Strong communication and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for speech and language needs.
• Deliver targeted activities under guidance of teachers and, where applicable, speech and language therapists.
• Support pupils in developing vocabulary, listening skills, understanding and expressive communication.
• Encourage positive social interaction and help children build confidence when communicating with others.
• Assist teachers in adapting classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Help create a nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers and relevant professionals.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents and external professionals to support pupils' development.
