Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council requires a Direct Payment Worker to support a child with special educational needs in the community. You will encourage engagement, assist with social skills, and accompany them to activities and appointments.

DBS clearance and references checks are required; travel across the East Riding may be needed and you must be able to transport yourself. Hours are 4 per week term-time and 8 per week during school holidays.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance and references checks required.
• Experience with or supporting a child with special needs advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with child and family.
