Job summary

Cornwall Council is recruiting a Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care locality team serving Watergate Primary Care Network. The role requires registration with Social Work England and a degree in Social Work or Dip.

SW, with a focus on strengths-based practice and multi-disciplinary collaboration. Applicants including Newly Qualified Social Workers (ASYE) are welcome, with induction and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, social work theory, policy and practice.
• Experience in strengths-based social care with strong assessment skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with partners in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake, analyse and translate complex assessments of need, risks and strengths.
• Form strong professional relationships with partners in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Deliver difficult messages and support immediate action when required.
• Enable flexible working and support induction pathways for new social workers.
