Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a compassionate social care worker for the Older Adults and Physical Disabilities team, across Cumbria. You will support adults aged 18+ living in the community, carrying out strengths-based assessments and delivering person-centred outcomes.

This role involves collaboration with health and care partners and third sector organisations to promote independence and reduce long-term care needs.

Qualifications

• Experience or awareness of social care, healthcare, or the voluntary sector.
• Empathic with strong communication to collaborate with customers, carers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to plan workloads, meet deadlines, and use IT effectively.

Responsibilities

• Undertake strengths-based assessments and deliver person-centred support.
• Collaborate with health, social care and third sector partners.
