Educato Limited is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Oldham, seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with SEND and help them access the curriculum.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapt learning activities, and collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and promote independence, confidence and positive relationships among pupils.

Formación

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally in a school setting.
• Understanding barriers some pupils face when accessing learning.
• Patient, encouraging and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsabilidades

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEND.
• Help pupils access classroom learning, understand instructions and complete activities.
• Support pupils with needs including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and learning difficulties.
• Adapt learning resources and break tasks down into manageable steps to encourage engagement and understanding.
• Promote independence, confidence and positive relationships with peers and staff.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, organisation and maintaining focus during lessons.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEND team to implement individual learning strategies and support plans.
• Monitor progress and share observations with relevant school staff.
