Job summary

Elderbrook School, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with learning and wellbeing. You will deliver 1:1 and small group support, help with planning and assessment, and contribute to a calm, safe classroom environment.

We value safeguarding, strong communication, and a team-based approach. The role offers ongoing training and opportunities to develop within our SEND-focused settings near Nuneaton.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and SEMH.
• Ability to work as part of a team and uphold school values.
• Good safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils to access the curriculum.
• Support learning, confidence and independence.
• Assist with planning, assessment and record keeping.
• Observe pupils and share information with teachers.
• Promote pupil wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
