Job summary

Castle Education is recruiting a friendly Classroom Support Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in the Malton area. You’ll help pupils engage with learning, encourage positive relationships and support teachers in delivering an enjoyable and productive school day.

Whether you’re already experienced in education or have transferable experience working with children, we’d love to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children in an educational, childcare or similar setting.
• Is approachable, patient and enthusiastic.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Communicates clearly and works well within a team.
• Is adaptable and happy to support a range of classroom activities.
• Is dependable and keen to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Assist with everyday classroom activities across KS1 and KS2.
• Help pupils understand tasks and stay engaged with their learning.
• Provide additional support to individuals and small groups.
• Prepare classroom materials and learning resources.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Work alongside teachers to ensure pupils feel included and supported.
