Penderels Trust in Lincoln is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a friendly young man with learning disabilities at home and in the community. You will help him participate in everyday activities, encouraging independence and ensuring safety.

You will assist with personal care, meals, medication prompting, and getting to activities. DBS disclosure is required, with costs covered by the employer, and the role offers reliable, caring support in a close-knit setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities preferred.
• Able to communicate clearly and patiently.
• Reliable and caring with good prompting skills.

Responsabilités

• Support and/or prompt with personal care (toileting, bathing, dressing).
• Assist with cooking/meal preparation and eating.
• Prompt to take medication as needed.
• Help the individual travel to school/work/activities.
• Encourage participation in social and leisure activities.
• Promote friendships and independence.
• Build a trusted, one-to-one relationship.
• Follow safety rules and report accidents or hazards.
• Role may include additional reasonable duties.
