Job summary

Stockport Council is recruiting a Mental Health Community Support Worker to work across community settings with adults who have Care Act needs. The role involves home visits, community-based support, and tenancy-based support within our Care Act framework.

You will join a small team with lone-working elements, carry a caseload as a named worker, and contribute to support planning and reviews. The post is full-time, permanent, 37 hours per week, and located at Baker Street.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of complex mental ill health and its impact on daily living.
• Good communication and IT skills are essential.
• Non-judgemental attitude and ability to work toward individuals' strengths.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to individuals in their homes, in the community, and in supported tenancy settings.
• Be a named worker with caseload, including support planning and reviews.
• Occasionally participate in On Call Rota and assist with buildings during shifts.
• Work as part of the Mental Health Support Work Service team in Adult Social Care.
