Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant in the Skills for Life department of a Further Education college in the Wirral. This role focuses on supporting students with additional and complex needs, helping them develop independence, confidence and life skills in a college setting.

You will work closely with teaching staff and professionals to provide educational and practical support throughout the college day, including personal care where required, while promoting

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or adults with additional needs, disabilities or complex needs.
• Experience within education, care, SEN or support setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students within the Skills for Life department.
• Assist students to access their learning, activities and the wider college environment.
• Provide personal care support where required, including assistance with personal hygiene.
• Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Promote dignity, independence and resilience, and support communication and emotional wellbeing.
