Job summary

Morgan Hunt is supporting a leading FE college in Wirral to recruit experienced Learning Support Assistants. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with an immediate start in a supportive FE environment.

We are seeking candidates with prior LSA/TA experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping learners reach their potential. Safeguarding and inclusive practice are essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or similar in education or care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to support learners with additional learning needs or SEND is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and classroom-based learning support to FE students.
• Support students with their academic, personal and social development.
• Assist learners with additional learning needs and disabilities where required.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to promote effective learning and student engagement.
• Help students access learning materials and participate in lessons.
• Encourage learners to develop confidence, independence and essential skills.
• Monitor and report on student progress and any support needs.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow college procedures.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, inclusion, health and safety, and positive behaviour.
• Adapt support approaches to meet individual learner needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and classroom-based learning support to FE students.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or similar role.
• Experience supporting young people or adults within an educational or care setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider support team.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or SEND would be desirable.
