Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team across the Loughborough, Stephenson, Brooksby and Ignite campuses. You will support students with confidentiality and professionalism, helping them develop independence and tailored learning plans.

This term-time role offers ongoing training and benefits, including a pension, cycle-to-work, on-site parking and healthcare, with travel between campuses as required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Level 2 qualification, GCSE 4+ in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Flexible and can-do approach; committed to teamwork.
• Positive approach towards all students; excellent communication.
• Willing to travel across campuses as required.

Responsibilities

• To support students in a sensitive, professional, discrete and confidential manner.
• To encourage personal and academic independence, self-empowerment and self-help skills wherever possible.
• To contribute to the development of individual learning programmes in liaison with Support Coordinators and course tutors.
• To ensure that students are receiving the appropriate level of support and report any issues to the Support Co-ordinators.
• Willing to travel across campuses as and when it is required.
• Successful candidates will have the opportunity to undertake further training where identified.
• This role is a term time only role working 33 weeks throughout the year and follows Further Education term times which you can find hereTerm Dates.
