Job summary

REESON Education invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant in Lambeth, starting November 2026. The role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions, and assisting with inclusive classroom practices.

You will work with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to tailor support for pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school or SEN setting.
• Patient, proactive and adaptable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Effective communication with staff, parents and external agencies.
• Genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Deliver targeted literacy, numeracy and communication interventions.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Support teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
