Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a named student in KS3/KS4 in a Greater London school. The role is contract-based until November, with potential extension, and requires safeguarding checks and DBS clearance.

You will provide tailored in-class support, help the student stay engaged, encourage independence, and work with teachers and staff to promote positive educational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be suitably qualified for the position and capable of providing classroom support.
• DBS check and safeguarding compliance expected as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to the named student in KS3/KS4 within the classroom.
• Prompt and encourage the student when needed to stay engaged.
• Help the student remain focused and engaged with learning activities.
• Promote independence and confidence while using initiative.
• Collaborate with teachers and wider school staff to support the student.
