Job summary

Dŵr y Felin Comprehensive School in Neath is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant (Level 2) to provide general pupil support. The role is 28 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, term time only, with an actual pro rata salary of £16,746.83.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team working to remove barriers to learning. Applicants should be prepared to contribute to a caring, inclusive learning environment and to work under the supervision of teaching staff to implement

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils to participate in the curriculum.
• Ability to undertake structured learning activities with pupils.
• Skills to use teaching strategies in liaison with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to enable pupils to engage with the curriculum.
• Undertake structured learning activities and teaching programmes as directed.
• Adapt activities to pupil responses in partnership with the teacher.
