Job summary

Lift St Helen's is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school in Barnsley. You will work with teachers to deliver an ambitious curriculum, lead small groups, and cover lessons as needed, helping pupils feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their best.

The role requires a Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent) and experience as a TA in a primary setting, including SEND interventions. We offer training and a supportive team committed to excellent education.

Qualifications

• Experience as TA in a primary setting.
• SEND intervention skills and awareness.
• Motivated and passionate about early education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small group interventions and cover sessions.
• Support with assessment and observations to inform planning.
• Encourage children's social and emotional development.
• Build strong relationships with families and support parental involvement.
• Line manage other TAs where appropriate.
