Job summary

Radford Primary Academy in Coventry is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join our team. The post is part-time, 6.5 hours per week, 8.30am–3.30pm, term time only, with duties including supporting pupils and aiding classroom management to enable access to learning.

Applicants should have NVQ 3 or above, strong numeracy and literacy skills, and a genuine interest in working with children, plus excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with staff and pupils.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• NVQ 3 or above.
• Evidence of having worked with children.
• A positive interest in working with children.
• Knowledge of policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals or groups of pupils under the guidance of a class teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and learning activities.
• Support after-school provision.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues and pupils.
