Job summary

Randstad UK, in partnership with a Cambridge FE college, seeks a Part-Time Learning Support Mentor to empower students with SEND to access the curriculum and build independent study skills. You will support learners alongside lecturers, adapting materials and using assistive technologies to maximise inclusion.

The role is permanent, term-time only (38 weeks/year) with a 22.5-hour week. DBS checks and strong teamwork are essential for success in this FE environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (C/4+) required.
• Level 2 Learning Support qualification desirable.
• Experience supporting people with SEND in FE, healthcare, or social services advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and out-of-class support, note-taking, and assistive technology facilitation.
• Help students access the curriculum and develop meta-cognitive and study skills.
• Maintain daily records on internal tracking systems regarding attendance and progression.
• Safeguarding responsibilities and referrals to Learner Services as needed.
