Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking a Family Group Conference Coordinator to support families in making safe decisions and plans for their children. You will facilitate the Family Group Conference, bringing together children’s support networks to find safe solutions and strengthen family involvement.

The role requires experience with Children and Families, independence, and a commitment to empowering families.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification and proven experience working with children and families.
  • Educated to first-degree level and/or relevant qualification in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Family Group Conferencing and relational practice with families including solution-focused approaches.
  • Ability to promote and facilitate the participation of children and their families, ensuring their views and needs are central to service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Family Group Conference and coordinate the meeting process.
  • Bring together children’s support networks of family members and friends to find safe solutions.
  • Support families in making decisions and plans for their children through collaborative processes.
  • Work with professionals to empower families and promote positive outcomes.
