Job summary

HEART Academies Trust is seeking a level 3 qualified Early Years practitioner for Goldington Green Academy. The role supports safe, high-quality education and welfare for children within a team including EYFS leaders and teaching staff.

The post requires experience in schools and SEN, with a focus on motivating pupils and maintaining positive behaviour. Term-time hours total 32.5 per week, Mon-Fri 8:30–15:30, with maternity cover until 31/08/2027.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 qualification.
• Knowledge of the needs and characteristics of children.
• Experience in a school setting.
• Experience with pupils with SEN.
• Ability to motivate and encourage pupils.
• Experience in managing behaviour effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality education, care and welfare for children.
• Contribute to and implement school policies.
• Work under the direction of the Headteacher, EYFS Lead and Class Teachers as part of a successful team.
• Fulfil legal and statutory requirements.
• Deliver learning activities to individuals and groups with ICT support.
• Collaborate with colleagues including the SENDCo and other teaching assistants.
