Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in Uist is advertising a part-time, permanent post for a Children's Services Support Worker (3971). The role is 20 hours per week, supporting vulnerable children and young people in school, home and community settings as part of an Integrated Children’s Services approach.

Applicants should have an HNC level qualification (or equivalent) and a full, clean UK driving licence. PVG membership is required. Closing date 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Education to HNC level in a relevant area (Education, Social Work, Psychology or Health) or equivalent vocational qualification or relevant work experience.
• Practical experience of working with young people who are vulnerable in terms of social, emotional, behavioural, learning or family difficulties.

Responsabilités

• Support the inclusion, attainment and achievement of vulnerable children and young people in school, home and community settings through direct work with children and young people, their families, and other support staff.
• Work as part of an Integrated Children’s Services approach to support learners and families.
