Job summary

You will collaborate with social workers, education professionals and families, support daily routines and education, and promote positive behaviour through therapeutic approaches. Flexible shifts (full and part-time) and ongoing training are offered in a supportive, child-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in residential care.
• Experience with 8–16 age group.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children aged 8-16.
• Build positive relationships and promote independence and life skills.
• Support daily routines, personal development and education.
• Encourage participation in education, hobbies and community activities.
• Promote positive behaviour using child-centred approaches.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with social workers and education professionals.
• Safeguard children and report concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
