Job summary

Sense is seeking an Activity Coordinator for a fixed-term role at our Streatley college site. The role runs 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am–4:15pm, with potential for permanency.

You will lead activities for adults with learning disabilities, supervise a small team of Support Workers and help participants gain life skills through diverse educational, recreational and community activities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Adult Social Care or willingness to work towards this.
• Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
• Experience implementing activity programmes with learning outcomes in diverse environments.
• Understanding of how creative activities enhance wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead activity sessions in day centre and community.
• Line manage a small team of Support Workers.
• Plan, develop and implement sessions and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Supervise team members and support personal care tasks as needed.
