About the role...

We are seeking an Individual Placement Support (IPS) Employment Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Forward Leeds IPS team aims to increase employment among individuals in specialist drug and alcohol services. Employment specialists will work alongside recovery service staff to support a small caseload of service users into employment opportunities.

The role involves providing tailored employment support, including career coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, connecting with local and national employers, attending job fairs, working across different sites, and engaging in community activities. The goal is to help individuals quickly gain employment as part of their recovery journey.

About you...
  • Experience managing a caseload.
  • Knowledge of drugs, alcohol, working with ex-offenders, the benefits system, or disadvantaged groups is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to build good relationships with diverse people.
  • A passion for making a positive difference in people's lives.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred due to travel requirements across Leeds, but not essential.

We are committed to fair access and supporting individuals to realize their potential. Join us to contribute to meaningful change and support our service users in making positive life changes.

If you believe you align with our values and ethos and are passionate about supporting people, consider applying even if you feel your experience is limited; transferable skills are welcome.
