Job summary

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL is seeking a Senior Supported Employment Specialist to lead a team of IPS professionals, providing supervision and training and overseeing caseload management.

You will model IPS practice to maintain fidelity standards and deliver positive outcomes for service users, while building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to drive service improvements. This role offers a chance to develop leadership skills within a dynamic, person-centred team.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in employment services or equivalent experience with individuals with significant barriers to employment.

• Manage a team of Supported Employment Specialists providing supervision, training, caseload management, and role modelling of the IPS.
• Ensure the service meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users.
• Build close, trusting and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders and provide leadership to develop and support the team.

Job description

The Connect to Work Senior Supported Employment Specialist will manage a team of Supported Employment Specialists providing supervision, training, caseload management, and role modelling of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS). This role will provide a pivotal part in managing a high-quality service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users.

You will have at least two years' experience of working in employment services or equivalent experience working with individuals with significant barriers to employment. You will be someone who is able to build close, trusting and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders combined with strong leadership skills to develop and support the Supported Employment Specialists.
