Job summary

Think Legal Recruitment is assisting a nationally recognised law firm in Leeds to appoint a Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor into its established team. You'll advise employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a focus on education sector work, and benefit from supportive supervision and a collaborative culture.

You'll qualify into Employment this year or have recently qualified, with experience from a seat in Employment.

Qualifications

• Qualifying as a Solicitor in England & Wales this year.
• Completing (or have completed) a seat in Employment Law.
• Keen to build a long-term career in respondent employment work.

Responsibilities

• Advise predominantly employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Handle Employment Tribunal litigation (respondent) and related procedures.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment and TUPE advice.
• Provide day-to-day employment support for a diverse client base.

The Role

You'll work alongside experienced employment specialists advising predominantly employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including:

• Employment Tribunal litigation (respondent)
• Disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment
• TUPE advice
• Discrimination and equality matters
• Settlement agreements and exits
• Day-to-day employment support for a diverse client base

The work has a strong focus on education clients, but you'll also gain exposure to charities, social enterprises and commercial organisations, making for a genuinely varied caseload.
