Job summary

CRA Legal is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our Leeds team. You will manage a varied caseload and provide practical, commercially focused advice to both employers and individuals, with an emphasis on resolution and client care.

The role offers hybrid working, autonomy and a clear path for progression within a supportive, established firm. Qualified in England & Wales, you will handle tribunal procedures and disputes while contributing to business development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales.
  • Experience handling a broad employment law caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and tribunal procedures.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently.
  • Commercial, proactive and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own varied caseload of employment matters.
  • Advise employers on day-to-day HR and employment issues.
  • Draft and review contracts of employment, policies and staff handbooks.
  • Advise on redundancy, restructuring and settlement agreements.
  • Handle Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advise employees on workplace disputes, discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims.
  • Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

Role: Employment Solicitor

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of employment matters while providing practical, commercially focused advice to both businesses and individuals. Matters are likely to include:

  • Advising employers on day-to-day HR and employment law issues.
  • Managing disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment, policies and staff handbooks.
  • Advising on redundancy, restructuring and settlement agreements.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advising employees on workplace disputes, discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales.
  • Previous experience handling a broad employment law caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and tribunal procedures.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
