Job summary

CLD Recruitment is seeking an Employment Solicitor at NQ–5 PQE to join a Leeds-based, hybrid team. You will handle a claimant Employment Tribunal caseload, provide practical advice from instruction to conclusion, and develop expertise within a growing Employment department.

You will draft pleadings, advise on contracts and settlement agreements, and collaborate with senior colleagues. A supportive firm offers progression and a client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• NQ–5 years PQE in Employment law
• Experience of claimant Employment Tribunal matters
• Excellent drafting and advocacy abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of claimant Employment Tribunal matters from instruction to conclusion
• Take initial instructions from clients and provide clear, practical legal advice
• Advise clients throughout the life of their matter
• Draft pleadings and other legal documentation
• Represent clients at Employment Tribunal Preliminary Hearings
• Instruct Counsel and other experts where appropriate
• Advise on employment contracts and service agreements
• Advise clients on settlement agreements
• Ensure matters progress efficiently per office and accounts procedures
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Employment law and developments

EMPLOYMENT SOLICITOR – Newly Qualified to 5 years' PQE

Leeds Based & Hybrid

Salary: £40,000–£50,000 DOE

CLD Recruitment are currently working with a growing law firm who are looking to strengthen their Employment Department with the appointment of an Employment Solicitor at NQ–5 PQE level.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor looking to join a supportive and collaborative team, take ownership of their own caseload and develop their career within a growing Employment practice.

THE ROLE

You will manage a caseload of predominantly claimant Employment Tribunal matters, dealing with cases from initial instruction through to conclusion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of Employment Tribunal matters
• Taking initial instructions from clients and providing clear, practical legal advice
• Advising clients throughout the life of their matter
• Drafting pleadings and other legal documentation
• Representing clients at Employment Tribunal Preliminary Hearings
• Instructing Counsel and other experts where appropriate
• Advising on employment contracts and service agreements
• Advising clients on settlement agreements
• Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and in accordance with office and accounts procedures
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Employment law and developments

ABOUT YOU

We are keen to speak with Employment Solicitors who have:

• NQ–5 years PQE
• Previous Employment law experience
• Experience of claimant Employment Tribunal matters
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent drafting and advocacy abilities
• The ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and practically to clients
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team
• Excellent client care skills
