Job summary

Brockenhurst College in Southampton is seeking a Pathways to Employment Officer to join the Employment Services team on a permanent part-time basis. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required; Wednesday and Thursday availability is essential, with remaining hours flexible.

You will provide IAG and tailored employability support to adults referred via Jobcentre Plus and partners, and contribute to classroom delivery and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade C or above).
• Full driving licence and access to transport for outreach.
• L3+ Advice & Guidance (IAG) or Careers qualification or willingness to achieve.
• Experience delivering IAG to unemployed adults or adult learners.
• Knowledge of local labour market trends and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide IAG and personalised employability support to adults referred via Jobcentre Plus and partners.
• Source vacancies, arrange recruitment events, and broker job opportunities.
• Support tutors in classroom delivery and invigilation when required.
• Maintain accurate records in college MIS/CRM and ensure compliance.
• Manage a caseload with action plans and SMART goals toward outcomes.
