Role: Employment Paralegal

Salary: up to 30k

Simpson Judge are currently working with a well established West Midlands based firm who are seeking a proactive and ambitious Employment Paralegal to join our busy and growing team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is keen to develop their career in employment law, with genuine prospects for progression and potential training contracts available for the right candidate.

The Role

We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running, providing support on a wide range of employment matters including contentious and non-contentious work. You will work closely with solicitors across the department, assisting with:

  • Drafting and preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
  • Attending client meetings and taking instructions
  • Managing case files and preparing bundles for hearings
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties
About You
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in employment law or strong paralegal experience in litigation (essential)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work effectively
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in employment law
