Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment collaborates with a leading national employment team to recruit an Employment Managing Associate in Manchester. The role offers direct exposure to renowned Partners and a clear pathway to Partnership, supported by a hybrid working model and a premium client base.

You will handle a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters for employers, including tribunal litigation, restructures and senior exits, while mentoring juniors and developing your own client

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 7+ years PQE in Employment Law.
• Strong experience advising employers across contentious and non-contentious Employment matters.
• Excellent technical ability and commercial awareness.
• A passion for business development and building long term client relationships.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress towards Partnership within a leading national practice.

Responsibilities

• Advise employers on the full spectrum of employment law issues, both contentious and non-contentious.
• Manage complex tribunal litigation, TUPE, restructures and redundancies.
• Drive client relationships and business development to support growth of the employment practice.
• Work closely with Partners to shape strategy and contribute to leadership development.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Managing Associate 7+ years PQE to join the firm's growing Manchester office.

Working alongside some of the most respected Employment Partners in the market, you will advise an outstanding client base ranging from household name businesses and multinational organisations through to high growth companies and major public sector bodies.

Your caseload will span the full range of contentious and non contentious employment matters, including complex tribunal litigation, TUPE, restructures and redundancies, executive exits, restrictive covenants, corporate support, workforce strategy and day to day advisory work.

This role has been designed for senior lawyers looking to take the final step towards Partnership. You will work directly alongside experienced Partners who are committed to developing the next generation of leaders within the firm, providing significant client exposure, involvement in strategic business decisions and the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the Employment practice.

Alongside managing premium quality work, you will be encouraged to develop your own client relationships, strengthen your business development profile and mentor more junior lawyers.
