Birchrose Associates in London is seeking an Employment Managing Associate to join a Tier 1 Employment practice. You will advise on complex employment matters for employers and senior executives, handling both advisory and disputes work alongside partners and senior lawyers.

Core responsibilities include managing HR advisory matters, negotiating settlement agreements, addressing discrimination issues, and supporting TUPE and corporate transactions.

Competenze

• UK-qualified Employment Managing Associate with 5–8 PQE.
• Strong employment law experience within a well-ranked practice.
• Experience advising employers and senior executives on complex issues.
• Experience handling both contentious and advisory matters.
• Exposure to multiple sectors and cross-border matters.

The successful Employment Managing Associate will be joining a firm that is consistently recognised in the legal directories, with its Employment practice ranked Tier 1 in the Legal 500 for Employers.

The opportunity

The Employment team is widely recognised for its expertise in handling complex and high-stakes employment matters, acting for both employers and senior executives across a broad range of sectors, with particular strength across financial services, fashion and retail, luxury and media.

The firm is looking to recruit an Employment Managing Associate to join the team as part of its continued growth.

Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, the new hire will advise on a broad range of employment matters across both advisory and disputes work.

This will include:

• Advising on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
• Advising employers and senior executives on complex employment issues
• Managing day-to-day HR advisory matters, including redundancies, settlement agreements and workplace issues
• Advising on discrimination, unfair dismissal, restrictive covenants and contractual disputes
• Supporting clients with employment disputes and litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court
• Advising on TUPE and the employment aspects of corporate transactions
• Advising on data theft, confidential information and other complex employment issues

Required

• UK qualified Employment Managing Associate with 5 – 8 PQE
• Strong employment law experience gained within a well-ranked Employment practice
• Strong respondent-side experience, or a combination of respondent and senior executive work
• Experience handling both contentious and advisory employment matters
• Experience advising clients across a variety of sectors
