Overview

We are seeking to recruit an employment lawyer for the Employment, Education and Adults social care team at HB Public Law (HBPL). You will undertake varied, high-quality work with likeminded and supportive colleagues who are committed to public service and excellent client care.

HB Public Law is one of the country’s leading shared local authority legal practices between a number of Northwest London and out of London boroughs; it is Lexcel accredited and we pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service. Staff are employed by Harrow Council, but work for a number of public sector clients.

About You

The successful candidate will be required to carry a full caseload dealing with matters relating to employment, providing advice and dealing with employment tribunal claims.

There is also an opportunity to take on work relating to education law.
You will be required to pick up a caseload from the outset.

We will consider less experienced individuals with the right personal qualities and an excellent approach to client care who are able to grow into the role.

Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply for this position, as the practice’s current staff base is drawn from both sectors.

The role is a career graded post encompassing grades G10, G11 and MG1.

Internal applications for advancement to the next grade are considered on an annual basis.
