Job summary

CRA Legal is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer for a 6-month locum contract with a West Yorkshire local authority. You will deliver specialist advice across a broad employment caseload, supporting the Council on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

The role offers hybrid and fully remote options, with a Monday to Friday working week and a chance to contribute within an established local authority legal team.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive with relevant employment law experience.
• Local authority experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and case law.
• Able to manage a caseload independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

CRA Consulting are currently working with a local authority based in West Yorkshire who are looking to appoint an experienced Employment Lawyer on a 6-month locum contract.
The successful candidate will join an established legal team, providing advice across a varied employment caseload and supporting the Council on a range of employment matters.

The Role:

• Providing legal advice across a range of employment law matters
• Managing a varied caseload from instruction through to resolution
• Advising on contentious and non-contentious employment issues
• Working closely with HR teams and senior stakeholders
• Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice

The Ideal Candidate:
