Overview

Employment Lawyer
A law firm in the Bournemouth and Poole area require an experienced Employment Lawyer capable of running an existing case load with minimal supervision.

The Firm

A long established and well respected private practice law firm providing legal services across a wide number of legal disciplines to clients along the south coast and further afield.

The Role

The Employment Lawyer role will be focussing mainly on non-contentious work, advising on all aspects of employment law and HR matters. This includes:

  • Provision of legal advice and assistance to existing clients, whilst developing your own client base
  • Working on claimant and respondent matters involving a varied case load
  • Drafting and reviewing a range of documentation including employment contracts, settlement agreements and HR policies and procedures
  • Advising clients on a wide range of issues including termination of employment, avoidance of discrimination claims and advice relating to potential tribunal claims
  • Guiding employers through collective consultations, redundancy processes and the TUPE provisions
The Candidate

The Employment Lawyer will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with an excellent understanding of employment law and tribunal procedure whilst undertaking legal research and staying abreast of changes in the law and guidance. The Employment Lawyer will be well organised with strong drafting and negotiation experience.
