Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in a UK jurisdiction.
• Employment law experience gained in private practice, in-house, advisory or during a training contract seat.
• Strong employment law knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain legal concepts clearly and commercially.
• Confidence advising clients by telephone and email.
• Strong drafting and document review skills.
• Experience supporting HR professionals and senior stakeholders.
• Experience advising larger corporate organisations.
• Public sector employment law experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality employment law advice via telephone and email across a broad range of workplace matters.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Review employment documentation and case paperwork.
• Draft clear, practical and legally accurate written advice.
• Manage workload in line with agreed service levels.
• Keep up to date with employment law developments and legislative changes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Markel Law.
