Job summary

Cambridge-based law firm seeks a Senior Associate Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to join its employment team. You will handle complex matters for financial services, tech, education, and non-profits, including international clients, while mentoring junior lawyers and leading on strategy and BD.

You will draft contracts and policies, oversee tribunal work, and support leadership in client development. Flexible, ambitious environment with strong progression prospects.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years’ PQE in employment law.
• Experience handling complex employment cases and advising senior executives.
• Strong technical skills in contract drafting, policy development, and litigation.
• Commercial and strategic thinking with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice.
• Leadership and mentoring experience valued.
• Excellent communication, client management, and business development skills.
• Experience with international clients or cross-border matters is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise on wide-ranging employment law matters including maternity rights, contractual matters.
• Draft service agreements, employment contracts, staff handbooks, and policies.
• Manage performance, sickness, and misconduct procedures; parental leave schemes.
• Provide transactional corporate support.
• Handle wrongful and unfair dismissal, redundancy, restructuring, TUPE.
• Advise on senior executive arrivals/exits and complex remuneration.
• Oversee employment tribunal litigation and discrimination claims.
• Advise on offshore/overseas placements.
• Work with diverse clients across financial services, tech, education, insurance, and more.
• Engage in business development and leadership to mentor juniors and grow the firm.

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to join their Cambridge team, advising a diverse client base across financial services, tech, education, insurance, transport, and non-profits—including international businesses and senior executives. The Role: Key Responsibilities

• Advise on wide-ranging employment law matters including:
