Job summary

Halifax Opportunities Trust is seeking an Employment Advisor to support individuals facing barriers, managing a caseload and building relationships with partners.

This full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, is based at Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre and includes a salary of £30,000 per annum, with a focus on helping disabled people, those with health conditions and other complex cases find and sustain work.

Qualifications

• Experience of employment support or a similar role involving caseload management, one-to-one support and developing professional partner relationships
• Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) (or extensive equivalent experience)
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and motivate individuals
• A positive, proactive and resilient approach

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload, delivering personalised support and working in partnership with a wide range of local services and employers
• Work in line with the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF), using a person-centred approach to support individuals towards sustainable employment
