ER Specialist (Extensive employee relations experience required)
Location: Woking, Hybrid, Salary: 40K
Our client, a global Managed Services and Staffing provider, is seeking an Employee Relations Partner to provide responsive HR advice and support to managers, employees, and flexible workers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
The Business
- Acts as an ambassador, aligning with company culture and values.

- Delivers first-class advisory services on employment and employee relations matters.
- Provides positive customer experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Advice and Guidance
- Advise managers on Employee Relations issues, policies, and legislation, considering commercial needs.
- Manage cases related to disciplinaries, grievances, performance, absence, TUPE, redundancy, and ACAS processes.
- Build effective relationships to promote good employee relations.
- Support on client calls and HR queries, referring to colleagues when necessary.
- Keep policies and guidelines updated and develop new policies as needed.
- Coordinate with Payroll and HR Admin teams for processes and payments.
Case Management
- Handle Employee Relations cases ensuring timely responses per statutory and company standards.
- Draft and review related documentation.
- Support ACAS early conciliation and manage occupational health referrals.
- Manage query systems in line with response times.
Technology and HR Systems
- Ensure accurate data entry and reporting in HR systems.
- Record all cases properly and ensure policy accessibility.
- Manage data in compliance with GDPR and retention policies.
Relationship Management
- Develop relationships with managers, HR partners, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to deliver support.
Change Management
- Support organizational change and act as a change agent.
- Guide managers through change processes with pragmatic Employee Relations advice.
- Stay updated on employment law and HR best practices.
Projects
- Contribute to departmental objectives and review Employee Relations materials regularly.
Experience and Skills
- HR advisory experience with a focus on Employee Relations and employment law.
- Proven case management skills.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, GDPR, and HR systems.
- Strong organizational, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience working in corporate or professional services sectors.
- Knowledge of TUPE and managing redundancy/restructure programs.
